Here you’ll find the gear I use myself — tested in the Danish outdoors over many years. No sponsorships, no random recommendations. Just the gear I actually bring along, whether it’s a quick overnighter or a week-long basecamp expedition. Click on whatever catches your eye — and find your next favourite piece of gear.
My basecamp tent. When the trip isn’t about hiking far, but about settling in properly. Klondike Grande is a polycotton tipi tent — it breathes, keeps you warm at night, and is big enough to stand up in and cook inside with the stove lit. I use it with my Winnerwell stove, and that combo is hard to beat on a cold autumn evening. It’s heavy to carry, but that’s not the point — it’s a tent you drive to, pitch, and stay in.
My model has been discontinued — the Klondike 6-person is the closest current version.
My lightweight hiking tent. When the backpack needs to stay light and the days are long, this is the one I go with. 2,300 g, aluminium poles, waterproof seams, and two doors so you don’t have to crawl over each other. Not the most luxurious tent in the world, but it gets the job done — dry, stable, and easy to pitch on your own.
My model has been discontinued — the Naturehike Cloud Up 2 is a great alternative in the same price range.
Carinthia Defence 4 and Tropen aren’t just two sleeping bags — they’re a complete sleep system. Tropen on its own for summer nights. Defence 4 on its own for spring and autumn. And when winter really bites — combine them and they match the warmth performance of Carinthia’s Defence 6. The zips are designed to fit perfectly together, minimising heat loss.
My 3-season workhorse. Military-developed with Carinthia’s own G-LOFT insulation that keeps you warm even when it’s wet. Tough outer shell, double zip, and a bag I trust when the temperature drops.

The summer bag’s answer to not freezing. Light, compact, and with an integrated mosquito net for warm nights. And when winter comes — I pair it with the Defence 4.
