A solid ferro rod that’s ready to come out into the wild—from your first trip in the woods to the harsh conditions where you really need it. The ferro rod is wrapped in hand-tied “fire and fish cord” paracord, and the striker is braided directly into the handle, so you’ll never be searching for it when it’s time to throw sparks.

This isn’t just another paracord-wrapped survival thing. The red core in the firecord isn’t just for looks—it’s made from flammable material you can pull out and use as tinder if you’re out of fatwood, birch bark, or other easy-to-light material. Split the red thread, fluff it up a bit, and have it ready for the spark from the ferro rod. It’s not a replacement for proper tinder, but in an emergency—when everything else is damp or you’ve run out—the red cord can be what makes the difference between a warm campfire spot and a cold night.
